DeviceTool gives you a complete view of a computer's hardware and connected devices. From printers to processors, you can find everything in and around a computer. Additionally, the software provides you with numerous details about each component, but a more interesting feature is the possibility of viewing the same information on other computers and enabling or disabling them remotely.

The application is absolutely free and it can be used on any modern Windows system. It takes only a few seconds to download its setup package and the installation process is just as fast. Furthermore, there is no need to install any special tools or services to run the software.

All devices are detected automatically and organized in a tree structure, like in Device Manager. Selecting a device will reveal a large amount of information about it, on the right side of the user interface. You can double click individual details, to bring them up on a small window, in an editable form. While the application doesn't allow you to make any permanent changes, you can still edit the text, if you need only a part of it or in a different form.

Obviously, the software displays all devices on your own computer, but you can set it to show the same kind of information from other computers on your local network. All you have to do is specify a computer's name on a small window and the application will gather the info right away. What's more, DeviceTool lets you enable and disable individual devices, wherever possible, by simply right clicking them and selecting the appropriate options.

The possibility of gathering a large amount of information about a computer's hardware, in just a few seconds, even over a network, is exactly what you can expect from DeviceTool.

Pros

The application can provide you with information about all devices in or around a computer. The information is displayed instantly and made easy to copy to the clipboard. The best part is that you can gather information about devices on a remote computer.

Cons

A toolbar, with the few available options, would be a welcomed addition.
